Wolfe in the Wings is an independent review platform created by Tristan Wolfe, a performer, writer, director and producer with experience onstage and behind the scenes.
I believe good criticism should engage with the production that was actually presented and consider what it set out to achieve. Reviews should be honest without being careless, constructive without becoming bland, and entertaining without making the artist the punchline.
Drawing on my experience as a working performer and producer, I review theatre, comedy, cabaret, film and television through written articles and short videos. I am particularly interested in original, independent, queer and character-led work, although coverage is not limited to those areas.
